Salary: £40,000 – £70,000 (DOE) + Benefits

Overview:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and trusted organisation within the industrial and commercial services sector. As the business continues to grow and evolve, they are looking to appoint an experienced Gas Compliance & Health & Safety Manager to oversee regulatory compliance, ensure safe systems of work, and drive continuous improvement across gas safety and wider H&S protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of gas compliance and health & safety across the business, ensuring adherence to all relevant legislation, industry standards, and company policies

• Develop, implement, and review H&S and gas compliance procedures, including risk assessments, audits, and safety inspections

• Provide expert guidance on all matters relating to gas safety and compliance (including Gas Safety Regulations, HSE guidance, etc.)

• Liaise with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safe working practices on-site and during installations/maintenance

• Manage training programs to ensure competency across teams in gas and H&S practices

• Act as the competent person for gas compliance, including issuing or reviewing Gas Safety Certificates

• Lead investigations into any incidents or non-compliance and drive corrective actions

• Keep up to date with changing legislation and advise the senior leadership team accordingly

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role within gas compliance and/or H&S management

• Recognised qualifications in Gas (e.g., ACS, Gas Safe registered)

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent H&S qualification

• In-depth knowledge of gas regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry best practices

• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels

• Confident in writing policies, reports, and compliance documentation

• A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement
